However, when you buy that diamond wedding ring, be sure that there was an actual numerical price on the ring before you bought it, and that it comes with a GIA or ACS certification. Also, the jeweler should allow you to thoroughly inspect the diamond with a microscope that is used especially to look for flaws in diamonds.
